Mail Art Starter Packets

At the end of this month I’m doing a short presentation about mail-art at my school. The main angle is the international connection. Although I haven’t put together the presentation I have put together a bunch of starter packets. My hope is that people will take the packages filled with random bits of paper and stickers, and then mail out to someone. Who knows I that’ll happen but it’s my hope.

That is a great idea, Jon. They look terrific. that would start ME on mail art....but then you know how I am....
Maybe give them a list of mail art books and blogs too?

Hey Pamela, yeah I've got directions included in the package as well as some names that people can send out to. Hopefully it gets at least one person to send something out.

I LOVE this idea! I also have spent lots of time traveling to developing countries and these would be SUCH A HIT! I would love to help - and have you thought about trying to connect with the sketchbook project? Maybe they have a philanthropic side?

Hello C.H. I think it will go over. I hope at least one person will take enough interest to actually make something, but who knows. Sometimes students aren't the most interested audiences.

Thanks for the suggestions as well, I'm in the process of putting together the presentation and I'll take these ideas into consideration.
